At least three people were killed in a pileup involving more than 100 vehicles along Interstate 35W in Fort Worth, Texas, on February 11, local news reported.
The highway was shut down as multiple people were trapped in their cars, KTVT said.
The Fort Worth Fire Department said they were on scene with “multiple vehicles involved and multiple people trapped.”
The National Weather Service had previously warned of icy roadways overnight due to freezing conditions in Fort Worth and surrounding areas.
