Several Injured as Israeli Police Remove Activists Protesting at Threatened Bedouin Village

Police and activists clashed on October 15 near the Bedouin village of Khan al-Ahmar, which is slated for demolition by Israeli authorities.

Clashes erupted between residents, protesters, and the Israeli police close to the village, east of Jerusalem, resulting in seven people being injured, Palestinian reports state.

Four activists were arrested, according to both the Palestinian National Liberation Movement and the Times of Israel.

This footage, shared by a Palestinian journalist, shows Israeli police removing activists who were protesting against the demolition.

Israeli plans were condemned by the European Parliament, on September 13, when politicians described the proposed demolition of Khan al-Ahmar and other Bedouin villages as “a grave breach of international humanitarian law.”
