Homes, roads, and bridges were left severely damaged after Storm Alex caused devastating flooding in southeastern France on October 2, reports said.
The southeastern department of Alpes-Maritime was under severe weather warning as more than 13.8 inches of rain (350 mm) fell in some areas.
At least 18 people were missing, including two firefighters, reports said.
