Yahoo News Severance announces new project ahead of season 2 release
Severance season 2 is only a couple of months away, so Adam Scott and Ben Stiller are ready to clear up some of the show's mysteries in an upcoming podcast.
Launching on January 7 — ten days before the new episodes premiere on Apple TV+ — The Severance Podcast With Ben Stiller and Adam Scott may just tell us more about the baby goats, the waffle parties and other puzzling occurrences in the acclaimed workplace sci-fi thriller.
The first two episodes will focus on season 1 of the show, with subsequent podcasts zeroing in on the new chapter (via Variety).

Alongside Scott, who plays protagonist Mark Scout, and executive producer/director Stiller, the podcast will welcome stars Zach Cherry (Dylan), John Turturro (Irving) and Britt Lower (Helly).
Creator Dan Erickson and executive producer Jackie Cohn will also guest star, while celebrity superfans of the show, including Jon Stewart, are set to make an appearance to dish on all things Severance.
"We have severed ourselves from the world for five years making this show. While we have no memory of what happened during that time, we thought we should do a podcast for all the Innies who will have no recollection of watching, in an attempt to reintegrate them with their memory of the show," Stiller and Scott said in a statement.
"We're happy not to be working with Lumon Industries on this podcast and instead to be bringing it to the world with Audacy Podcasts, who would never send us to the break room."

The podcast will be produced by Audacy's Pineapple Street Studios, the company behind successful companion podcasts to hit series like The Last of Us, Succession, House of the Dragon, Rings of Power, and more.

Premiered in 2022, Severance follows protagonist Mark and his co-workers at Lumon, a shady company who forces its employees to undergo a surgical procedure to separate their office memories from their private lives.
Severance season 2 will start streaming on January 17 on Apple TV+, with episodes released weekly. Season 1 is currently available on the same platform.
The Severance Podcast launches on January 7.
