Severe Flooding Causes Almansa Reservoir in Southern Spain to Overflow

Severe flooding hit parts of eastern Spain on Thursday, September 12, with close to four times the monthly average rainfall falling in just 24 hours, according to local meteorological reports.

Two people were killed in Caudette, in the Albacete region, according to El Pais, and dozens of people had to be evacuated as a result of the flooding.
