Severe Flooding Leaves Vehicles Stranded, Roads Impassable Western North Carolina

North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains suffered severe flooding after Tropical Storm Michael advanced north on Thursday, October 11. In Boone, low-lying roads and a bridge near Holiday Hills were submerged after the storm soaked the area.
