Severe rush-hour delays on District Line due to emergency engineering work

Essex commuters are experiencing severe delays on the District Line, with parts of the train line having no service at all. There is currently no service between Barking and Upminster.

The stations that will be impacted include Barking, Upney, Becontree, Dagenham Heathway, Dagenham East, Elm Park, Hornchurch, Upminster Bridge and Upminster. There is no service at these stations due to emergency engineering work at Upminster.

This is set to cause issues for those travelling into Essex from London during rush-hour. It was first reported at 4.15pm today (November 27), with an end to the train cancellations yet to be seen.

Commuters heading to the stations above should attempt to find an alternate route to avoid further delays. There is good service on the rest of the line.
