Severe Storms and Deadly Flooding Hit Northeastern Turkey

Severe storms prompted deadly flash flooding in the Trabzon province of Turkey on June 18, according to local media reports.

At least seven people died as a result of the flooding and subsequent landslide, according to Bekir Pakdemirli, Turkey’s minister of agriculture and forestry.
