Sex and the City revival series And Just Like That... has brought in Old actress Alexa Swinton to play Charlotte York Goldenblatt's daughter Rose.

According to Deadline, Alexa was spotted shooting in New York City last weekend opposite original series stars Kristin Davis (who plays Charlotte) and Evan Handler (playing Charlotte's husband Harry).

Cathy Ang, who's been confirmed as portraying the Goldenblatt family's eldest daughter Lily, was also on set.

But any Sex and the City set would be amiss without Carrie Bradshaw herself, and Sarah Jessica Parker was also present on-set outside the Manhattan School for Music as the cameras rolled.

Returning stars Cynthia Nixon, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson and Mario Cantone were also in the mix too, with Curb Your Enthusiam's Niall Cunningham also on set as Miranda and Steve's son Brady.

New series And Just Like That... is set to follow Carrie (Parker), Miranda (Nixon) and Charlotte (Davis) as they begin a new journey navigating life and friendship in their 50s. The 10-episode series began production in New York last month.

Meanwhile, Swinton features in M Night Shyamalan's aforementioned beach thriller as the 11-year-old incarnation of Maddox.

In Digital Spy's two-star review of Old, we summarised: "For its many faults, there's something undeniably fascinating about Old, and it all comes back to Shyamalan's willingness to swing so hard he might miss entirely every time he steps behind a camera.

"That's something that there is far too little of in franchise-loving Hollywood these days, whatever Old's flaws. He knows that the truly worst thing a movie can be is boring and, well, at least his are never that."

Old is out now in cinemas everywhere.

And Just Like That... is set to debut later this year on HBO Max in the US. No UK broadcaster has yet been found.
