Sex and the City is getting a revival at HBO Max, reuniting all the main girls except for Kim Cattrall's Samantha.

A report from Page Six has been doing the rounds in the last few days claiming that Mr Big, the love interest of Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie, wouldn't be making a return either.

While the matter hasn't been officially confirmed or denied, Mr Big actor Chris Noth has appeared to suggest we shouldn't abandon all hope of seeing him in the revival just yet.

Responding to a fan who asked about the reports on Instagram, Noth said: "Everything changes - including announcements in the rags."

Another response from the actor joked about the reports in question, stating alongside a winking emoji: "Well if page six says it... it must be true."

Another SatC star David Eigenberg has also talked about the possibility of reprising his role as Steve, saying: "You know, we'll see what happens with that. I got to check in with some people about it and we'll see what happens. I don't have any answers on that.

"You know, my time there was a beautiful time and I'm very lucky to have been a part of that and we'll just have to see what happens."

The Sex and the City revival And Just Like That... is set to stream on HBO Max in the US.
