Yahoo News Sex Education season 3: Everything you need to know

Sex Education season two made fans laugh, cry and sometimes cringe when it hit Netflix in January and already we know the high school-set drama will be back for a third series.
Netflix announced the exciting news with a video (watch above) of Alistair Petrie, who plays Principal Groff, talking through the stories of some of the show's key characters before telling fans they'll have to see what happens next when season three airs.
Here's what else we know about series three...
Sex Education season 3: What will it be about?
Season two ended with Maeve (Emma Mackey) and Otis (Asa Butterfield) somewhat detached after they finally spoke about their true feelings for each other. Will they be able put aside the water under the bridge and finally become a couple in series three? Or will Maeve be more concerned by her mother's drug relapse and her sister Elsie being taken from their trailer by social services?
Jean (Gillian Anderson) discovered she's pregnant with Jakob's child shortly after the pair broke up, but will Jakob (Mikael Persbrandt) be able to forgive Jean for her kiss with Remi when he knows about the baby?
Things are finally looking up for Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and Adam (Connor Swindells) after Adam seemed to come to terms with his sexuality and tell Eric that he really cares for him. Season three will surely explore how their relationship continues and how Adam deals with the breakdown of his family following his parents' divorce.
Sex Education season 3: Who will be in it?
Expect to see budding sex therapist Otis (Asa Butterfield) and his mum Jean (Gillian Anderson) as well as Maeve (Emma Mackey) and Eric (Ncuti Gatwa).
Returning cast members include Connor Swindells, Aimee-Lou Wood, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Chaneil Kular, Simone Ashley, Mimi Keene, Tanya Reynolds, Mikael Persbrandt, Patricia Allison, Sami Outalball, Anne-Marie Duff, George Robinson, Chinenye Ezeudu and Alistair Petrie.
Netflix has announced three new cast members.
Jemima Kirke will play former Moordale student and new headmistress ‘Hope’ who plans to turn Moordale back into a pillar of excellence.
Jason Isaacs is playing ‘Peter Groff’, Mr Groff’s more successful and not very modest older brother, who Mr Groff (Alistair Petrie) has been staying with in the wake of his separation from Mrs Groff.
Gender nonconforming recording artist and songwriter, Dua Saleh also joins in their acting debut, playing ‘Cal’, a nonbinary student at Moordale, who instantly clashes with Hope’s new vision for the school.
Sex Education season 3: When will it be on TV?
Filming commenced in early September 2020 and eight new episodes are set to hit screens in 2021. Before the pandemic, the series was due to air in January 2021, however we know that date will be delayed. Watch this space for more news.
