Emotions will be running high on Thursday as students across the country get their A-level results amid a row over how grades have been calculated due to the Covid pandemic.

The education secretary, Gavin Williamson, last night sought to placate pupils and their families by saying he was “incredibly sorry” for the disruption to their education during the coronavirus outbreak. His apology came as headteachers warned that many students’ results have been downgraded.

We want to hear from school leavers, parents and teachers, about how grades have been affected. If you’re getting your results today, whatever your story, and wherever you’re headed next, we want to hear from you.
