Sharon Osbourne has addressed her future on The X Factor after not taking part in last year's series, admitting that "that part of [her] life is gone".

The former judge was due to take part in the 2018 run as a fifth judge for the live shows, though later dropped out at the last minute and later accused Simon Cowell of not bringing her back because she was "too old".

However, appearing on today's (May 23) Loose Women, Sharon dashed any hopes of returning to the show.

"Nobody's asked me, but no," she confirmed. "It's a part of my life that I absolutely had the best time, met great, amazing people.

"Had the best fun, was naughty, had a laugh. But that part of my life is gone, and you can't go back. So I have to move on for myself."

Speaking earlier this year about stepping down from The X Factor, Sharon claimed: "I was signed on to do another show at the time.

"I was signed to go to England, and then Simon Cowell changed his mind and thought I was too old. Simon goes, 'She's old. We need somebody young.'"

She then took another shot at Simon, saying: "So if you want young, fire yourself and get rid of those man tits."

The X Factor is due to return later this year with not one but two back-to-back series, with a celebrity version and an all-stars series.

The X Factor airs on ITV. Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm.
