Sharon Osbourne has said she is so traumatised by husband Ozzy’s horrific fall earlier this year that she can’t stop reliving it in her mind.

The former X Factor judge woke up one night during February to see rocker Ozzy tripping over a rud and hitting his head on the bedside table and metal bedframe.

Unable to move, he was rushed to hospital and sent home with staff telling him he was just badly bruised, but another hospital visit later that night showed his spinal cord was compressed and one of the metal bolts in his collarbone from a previous quad-bike accident was dislodged.

Sharon told The Sun: “Sometimes, when I look at him, that night plays frame by frame in my head like a movie. I close my eyes and I see him falling again and again.”

The music manager also said that they now had some regrets over a gruelling five-hour operation on his spine that other doctors have since told them perhaps shouldn’t have been done.

She said: “It’s terrifying when you see somebody you love so incapacitated. They can’t do a thing, and you’re so engulfed with fear that you can’t think clearly. So we didn’t do any research or ask the right questions.”

Ozzy was told that it would take him a year to recover from the operation and fall, and Sharon shared that he now practises Pilates three times a week to help him regain his strength and flexibility.

Meanwhile, Sharon has also had her own hospital visit this year, for her fourth face lift.

The TV star, 67, said that each one was becoming more difficult to recover from and that her most recent op had left her very swollen.

She said: “I would go into the doctor every day and go, ‘it still hurts, it’s not going down. I look like friggin’ Elvis Presley’. And then I thought, ‘This is punishment for being so horribly vain’.”
