Sharon Stone has revealed that a surgeon gave her breast implants without her consent while removing benign tumours in 2001.
“When I was un-bandaged, I discovered that I had a full cup-size bigger breasts, ones that he said, ‘Go better with your hip size’,” Sharon Stone said.
“He had changed my body without my knowledge or consent,” she said.
Stone said the surgeon apparently thought she would “look better with bigger, better boobs”, prompting him to launch into breast augmentation surgery without her consent.
Sharon Stone is currently promoting her new memoir, The Beauty of Living Twice, which reflects on her extraordinary career in Hollywood.
The actress, now aged 63, rose rapidly to fame following her breakout performance in the 1992 erotic thriller Basic Instinct, where she starred opposite Michael Douglas. Stone was nominated for a Golden Globe for playing serial killer Catherine Tramell in the hugely-successful film.
Sharon Stone was tricked into showing her vagina in Basic Instinct
In her memoir, Stone opened up about the experience of shooting Basic Instinct – and alleged that she was tricked into showing her vagina in one famous scene.
In an excerpt published ahead of the book’s publication, Stone said a member of the production team told her to take off her underwear during a famous scene in which she crosses and uncrosses her legs, showing her vagina to a room of people in the process.
Sharon Stone said she agreed to remove her underwear as she was told her vagina would not be visible in the shot. She only found out how explicit the scene was when she was summoned to a screening of the film with agents and lawyers.
“That was how I saw my vagina-shot for the first time, long after I’d been told, ‘We can’t see anything – I just need you to remove your panties, as the white is reflecting the light, so we know you have panties on,” Stone wrote in the book.
“Yes, there have been many points of view on this topic, but since I’m the one with the vagina, in question, let me say: The other points of view are bulls**t… It was me and my parts up there.”
In the book, Stone described her Basic Instinct role as “by far the most stretching” of her career, as she had to explore a “dark side” of herself.
“It was terrifying. I had walked in my sleep three times during production, twice waking fully dressed sitting in my car in my garage. I had hideous nightmares.”
