Celebrity couple Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have confirmed they have split up after being together for two years.

The couple both posted a message on Instagram saying they had “decided to end our romantic relationship” but said they would stay “best friends”.

The pair started dating in July 2019 after recording the number one hit Senorita together.

Writing to their fans on Instagram, they said: “Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever.

“We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends, so we appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward.”

It comes two weeks after Mendes, 23, shared a picture of himself with Cabello, 24, in fancy dress celebrating the Mexican holiday The Day of the Dead.
