Strictly Come Dancing Shayne Ward's 'return' to BBC show confirmed after controversial exit
Shayne Ward has been signed up for a shock 'return' to Strictly Come Dancing, less than two weeks after his exit from the show caused no end of controversy.
Having got reality TV competition experience under his belt thanks to winning The X Factor in 2005 and then going onto appear on Dancing on Ice, Shayne went into his stint on the BBC dancing contest as one of the frontrunners to win, although, sadly for him, the optimistic prediction for him proved to be rather wide of the mark, as he ended up in the bottom two on three separate occasions.
And it was on his third and final time in the dance-off that Shayne saw him Strictly journey come to an abrupt end. Having battled it out against opera singer Wynne Evans to try and stay in, things were going well for Shayne when Craig Revel-Horwood and Motsi Mabuse both opted to save him and pro partner Nancy Xu, before his chances of survival were ruined by Anton Du Bake, thanks to him voting for Wynne and Katya to stay.

That meant that the decision on who went fell on the shoulders of head judge Shirley Ballas and, sadly for Shayne, she agreed with Anton, with her deciding vote sealing his exit from, the competition, much to the anger of many viewers online. However, Shayne's Strictly story doesn't end there, as he is one of three stars who have already been announced for the Strictly Live Tour 2025, along with current second favourite to win, Sarah Hadland and Montell Douglas, who beat Wynne in last week's dance-off, having found herself in the bottom two for a second time.
