Sheffield shooting: Two more men charged as woman injured after shots fired

Police have charged a further two men after gunshots were fired in the Batemoor area of Sheffield last month .

Police were called on May 13 at 11.20pm to reports of gunshots on White Thorns View. Armed officers and the National Police Air Service attended the scene. It is reported that an altercation took place between a group of men and a 41-year-old woman, where the woman suffered a suspected stab wound.

The gunshots are believed to have been fired after this altercation. The woman's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-altering, and no-one was injured by the discharge.

Aiden Taylor, 22, of White Thorns Drive, has been charged with wounding with intent, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of an offensive weapon and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He has been remanded in custody following his appearance at Sheffield Magistrates' Court yesterday (June 5).

Nicolas Jepson, 41, of White Thorns View, has been charged with wounding with intent, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He has been remanded in custody following his appearance at Sheffield Magistrates' Court today (June 6).

These bring the total charges in connection with the investigation to four.

Lewis Aghour, 23, of Dawlands Close, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and wounding with intent. He was charged, remanded and appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on May 27. Aghour will next appear before Sheffield Crown Court on June 25 2024.

On Friday May 17, Daniel Waterfall, of no fixed address, was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of an offensive weapon and wounding with intent. He will next appear at Sheffield Crown Court on June 14 2024.
