Shepton Mallet Carnival 2024 results announced

Provisional winners from the 2024 Shepton Mallet Carnival have been announced. And for the first time this year, there is a new name at the top of the Open Feature class.

Huckyduck Carnival Club remain on course to win the County Cup after their Brunel tableau secured a fifth successive win. But after four wins in a row, Gremlins CC's Beatlemania was beaten into second place in the Open Feature class by just a single point.

It was Ramblers CC with Pinball who provisionally have claimed first prize, ahead of Gremlins CC, with Masqueraders CC with Step Right Up in third place, a further five points back.

Newmarket CC with Tour de Somerset won best comic feature, and Rubalo JCC with Birds of Paradise won best juvenile feature.. The next procession of the circuit is in Wells on Friday, before Glastonbury rounds off the circuit on Saturday.
