Sheridan Smith Accused Of Being Drunk On Stage After Show Is Cancelled

Sheridan Smith – AKA best friend and general woman goals – has been accused of being drunk on stage after her performance at the Savoy Theatre got cancelled after just 15 minutes.

The official response given for the cancellation of Thursday night’s performance of Funny Girl was due to ‘technical reasons’, but those in attendance told a rather different story.

Speaking to The Mirror, one audience member - Abigail Richter – said she saw the 'Cilla’ actress grabbing the dancer’s, erm, 'downstairs’ and messing up her accent:

“It was an unbelievable disaster. Sheridan was all over the place. At one point, she was standing centre stage and her leg goes from underneath her.

“She started in a Bronx accent but slipped into Irish. Then there was a dance scene where at one point she grabbed the dancers’ b***s. She walked off and they literally just dropped the curtains.”

Another commented: “I don’t mean to sound nasty at all, but the show was really uncomfortable viewing from the start. Sheridan was slurring her words and forgetting her lines.’

Yeah guys, but maybe it was all part of the act? When has Sheridan ever
been anything other than an actual goddess, right?

Shezza’s representative issued a statement yesterday claiming that the allegations were totally untrue, saying that “I have spoken to my client and this is categorically not true.”

Her fans have also been out in force defending her – with one fan tweeting the actress: "From what I saw of you, you were stunning.
Hopefully, make it back soon to see the full performance.”

Those attending last night’s show saw the night go off without a hitch – so maybe it was just a one-night hiccup kinda thing?

Anyway, all we know is that at this point we’re still fuming we haven’t got tickets to see Ms Smith in the flesh yet.
