Shia LaBeouf and Jaden Smith are protesting Donald Trump’s inauguration with a four-year long live stream.

The actor friends have launched a brand new art project to coincide with the event, which will continuously stream for the duration of Trump’s presidency.

Taking place in New York, the stream will simply feature people standing in front of a camera and repeating the words ‘he will not divide us’ over and over again.

While LaBeouf and Smith kicked things off as Trump was sworn in on Friday, they have invited the public to get involved and take part over the course of the next few years.

“Open to all, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the participatory performance will be live-streamed continuously for four years, or the duration of the presidency,” the website reads.

“In this way, the mantra "HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US" acts as a show of resistance or insistence, opposition or optimism, guided by the spirit of each individual participant and the community.”

The video camera is mounted on the wall outside the Museum of the Moving Image and will not be removed until Trump has left office.

This is the latest in a series of video art installations, created by actor LaBeouf over the last couple of years.

He later recorded himself standing in a lift, inviting members of the public to join him for a chat about whatever they liked.
