Yahoo News Shock Hollyoaks exit hinted after Ruby Button returns
Hollyoaks welcomes back a familiar face next week, as Anna Shaffer reprises her role as Ruby Button.
Ruby will be returning to the village for Frankie Osborne's funeral, but the sombre occasion won't be enough to stop her from causing trouble too.
Fans of the show will remember that Ruby was once an extended part of the Osborne family, living with Frankie, Jack, Esther and Tom in The Dog.
She left the village in 2014 after the breakdown of her relationship with Ziggy Roscoe, which was never quite the same after Frankie betrayed her by sleeping with the local womaniser.
With the Ziggy love triangle long forgotten, Ruby is keen to pay her last respects to Frankie and everyone is pleased to see her back.
Ruby's return storyline soon leads to a surprising turn of events, as she ends up kissing Luke Morgan during Frankie's wake, which definitely won't go down well with everyone.
Esther is also given food for thought when Ruby offers her the chance to come back to Spain with her.
Will Esther be tempted to wave goodbye to the village?
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
