Shocking CCTV shows three men robbing a woman in her 70s in broad daylight

This is the moment a group of men rob a woman in her 70s in broad daylight in Birmingham.

Police have released CCTV footage of the robbery in an effort to track down three men.

They were caught on camera attacking the pensioner and throwing her to the ground on a service road near Havelock Road on Friday, December 28 at about 2.40pm.

The footage shows one of the men running at the woman, grabbing her and pulling her to the ground.

He is then helped by another man to take an electronic tablet out of the woman’s hand.

The three men then run off down the service road.

In an appeal posted on Facebook, West Midlands Police said: “Do you recognise these men?

“We want to talk to them in connection with a robbery on a woman in her early 70s that happened on Friday 28 December at around 2.40pm.

“The woman was walking along a service road, near to Havelock Road, when a group of three men approached her.

“One of the men ran at her, grabbed her and pulled her to the ground.

“Another one of the other men then helped her assailant to pull a tablet out of her hand, before the three ran off down the service road, across the car park and into Alum Rock Road.”
