The shocking five days of Birmingham stabbings that have left residents fearful of walking the streets
From a schoolboy walking home to punters having a pint in a pub. It seems no place is safe from the scourge of knife crime in Birmingham.
During the last five days, half a dozen people have been stabbed as they went about their daily lives. The depressing tally began on Tuesday when 12-year-old Leo Ross was allegedly killed as he made his way home along Scribers Lane in Hall Green, around 3.15pm.
As medical staff battled in vain to save his life, over in Ward End Park, paramedics tended to a teenager who had been knifed in Ward End Park in another incident.

The victims were taken to hospital, where both of the men were subsequently arrested. A 19-year-old man was arrested after police pursued a vehicle just after midnight and remains in custody on suspicion of attempted murder.
A spokesman for the pub chain said: "This was a serious incident at the pub, and we are assisting the police. It is horrendous that two people were stabbed and our thoughts are with them and their family and friends."
