Shocking moment man punched and kicked for no reason in vicious attack outside Shoreditch bar

This is the shocking moment a young man was punched and kicked for no reason in a vicious attack outside an east London bar.

CCTV footage shows the 26-year-old victim being suddenly punched and knocked to the floor as he stood near Be At One in Old Street, Shoreditch.

As he lay on the ground the same man brutally kicked him in the face.

The victim was left with serious injuries, suffering a broken nose, fractured eye socket and broken tooth, police said.

Partygoers and door staff rushed to help him and he was taken to Royal London Hospital by paramedics.

Immediately after the incident, which happened at about 1.45am on Sunday, October 8, the attacker fled east along Old Street.

DC Vicki Henderson, of Hackney Violent Crime Unit, said: “This was a violent and completely unjustified attack on an innocent man enjoying a night out which left him with serious injuries. His vision remains affected.

"The suspect is clearly a dangerous individual who needs to be apprehended.

“I would appeal to anyone who recognises the man in the footage or witnessed the incident to contact my team."

The suspect is described as black, of medium build with short dark hair and wearing a dark blue shirt and black bomber jacket. He was seen inside the bar with a group of men and women shortly before the assault.
