Police are hunting a shooter on a moped after two rounds were fired on homes in west London.

The shots were discharged within a 24 hour period and in the second incident a property was damaged by the gunman.

Police swooped on Cornwall Crescent, Notting Hill, at around 10pm on Friday after reports of gunfire.

The following day at around the same time a shot was fired at an address in Ladbroke Grove causing damage.

No injuries were reported in either incident.

A police statement said: "On both occasions it is believed the suspect or suspects were on a moped at the time of shootings.

"While both incidents are being linked, detectives retain an open mind as to the motive behind them.

“The investigation is being led by detectives from Trident West supported by local officers.”
