Shop in Gloucester announces sudden and immediate closure
A shop in Gloucester has announced its sudden closure. The owners, who said their decision to shut the independent store is due to ill health, have thanked their loyal customers for their support over the years and said it will continue online.
The shop, 14 Gifts, in College Street, has been operating in and around Gloucester for years. It specialised in selling items including incense, candles, and other spiritual paraphernalia and collectibles.
The owners, George and Liz Placidly-Cox, caused quite a stir during the pandemic with their struct rules regarding PPE as those not wearing a mask were banned from entering their shop. However, they stood their ground with support from their regular customers and continued trading.
