As part of our week-long Shop London festival, we’re hosting workshops, talks and classes with experts in their field. From stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK to sexperts and grazing platter pros, we’ve got a line-up of exciting events to celebrate our campaign.
To kick things off, luxury florist Larry Walshe is on hand to demystify one of the great interiors questions - the art of proper flower arrangement.
Now spring has properly sprung, it’s time to extend the beauty of nature indoors, and there’s nothing more elegant and instantly reviving to your space than a fresh bouquet of blooms.
Who is Larry Walshe?
Walshe has been a leading name in the floristry and event industry since 2014, known for statement design-led creations that have transformed spaces from royal households, wedding venues and photoshoots.
He’s worked with everyone from Rihanna, Stella McCartney, Edward Enninful, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Sonam Kapoor as well as luxury brands such Elie Saab, Dior and Valentino. When it comes to florals, you’d better be-leaf (sorry) he’s the man to know.
What is Bloom?
A new online flower delivery service, Bloom offers a variety of options for all, from hand-tied Luxury Gift Bouquets (starting at £75), bunches of Market Flowers, which come directly from the grower (from £30), and the flexible Best in Bloom flower subscription - at £35 per box, it’s a major bargain.
What makes Bloom special?
It’s USP? A revolutionary personalised Create Your Own Bouquet service. Starting from £44, you can pick the stems, foliage, size, colour, sentiment, and overall look of your dream bouquet – just as you would do in a florist – with Bloom bringing your vision to life and delivering to your door.
It’s also entirely sustainable and 100 per cent plastic-free, with orders shipped using DPD - one of the cleanest, greenest couriers in the UK. The brand also partners with the World Land Trust, planting trees to offset its carbon footprint.
How long is the flower arranging workshop?
In just 15 minutes, Walshe will show you how to arrange your petals so they look their finest. The class will be available to watch for free on YouTube and we will embed it below so if you can’t watch it live, you can catch up when you have time.
