Shoppers could be in with a chance to win big as Lidl announces huge giveaway

Shoppers could be in with a chance to win the whole value of their shop and their favourite festive foods at Lidl stores. Lidl Plus customers are in with a big chance to win at the discount retailers stores throughout November as they play the Christmas scratch card.

The retailer posted a video on its Instagram account urging shoppers to head down to their local Lidl store and take part in their scratch card game to be in with a chance of winning big.

In the video post, they said: "There are lots of exciting Christmas coupons up for grabs every day throughout November and don't miss out on the chance to win the value of your shop. "What's your favourite Christmas food? Peel off the scratch card and then we're going to see what you win."

In the video some customers won the value of their shop, one winner said: "I should have done my week's shopping, this is my lunch." Another customer added: "Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful." Others won all their favourite festive foods from mince pies, pigs in blanket flavour crisps, chocolates and much more. To play, all you have to do is download the Lidl Plus app.

It was only earlier this month that Lidl announced more giveaways ahead of the festive season. The retailer unveiled a Freeway Cola Christmas truck ahead of the festive season. The truck will tour Great Britain from November 14 until December 1 with all ages invited to soak up the atmosphere and grab some freebies during its visits.

Lidl's Freeway Cola drink has been reimagined into a 15-tonne, 20-metre-long and five-metre-high truck to celebrate Christmas. The truck will hand out more than 2,000 'middle aisle' present boxes and an array of Lidl's festive food.

Visitors can step inside a life-size present box, ring a bell for a surprise season’s treatings, or try Snowmallows and festive biscuits. One in 10 gift boxes holds a golden ticket allowing visitors to win their entire Christmas shop at Lidl. Visitors can also submit any wish they'd like to see come true. Lidl will then grant a number of them to help spread the festive spirit.
