Shoppers going crazy for Aldi's new £1.49 'super cute' Christmas snack

There's nothing like a new festive snack on the scene to get shoppers excited, especially when it's a cheap one too. Aldi has launched some new Mug Hangers - biscuits that fit over the rim of your mug.

There's a red box of gingerbread shaped caramelised biscuits with cinnamon and a blue box of snowflake shaped sugar coated golden biscuits.

The packs, priced at £1.49, have been flying off the shelves as the Christmas season gets in full swing, with shoppers snapping them up for their festive drinks. Posts about the biscuits have also gone viral on social media after attracting thousands of comments.

"Oh my goodness I need this in my life this Christmas," said one, while another added: "Perfect for them hot choccies."

The shape of them did concerns a few shoppers, who were worried they might end up with 'a soggy leg in your brew', but it doesn't seem to have stopped sales of the 'super cute' treats.

You can either make your drink a bit lower to stop it reaching the brew, or if you're quick off the mark, you'll be eating it before it's soggy enough to fall in anyway.

It's not the only product getting Aldi shoppers excited this Christmas. We reported last month how the retailer is selling a box of limited edition Cherry Bakewell Jaffa Cakes for 99p.

They're proving quite divisive among shoppers, with some saying 'Jaffa Cakes and cherry bakewell should never be mixed', but others saying 'these look yummy' and 'dreams do come true'.
