Shoppers say 'they're mocking us' over new festive chocolates spotted in supermarket

With less than two weeks to go until Christmas Day, Quality Street has divided the internet and triggered an online debate.

Ahead of Christmas, people are busy stocking up on food for the big day, buying gifts for their loved ones and are winding down at work in preparation for the holidays. And there's not much more exciting than seeing what goodies and treats the shops have brought out for us each year. And this year, Quality Street have managed to divide the internet.

Quality Street manufacture popular selection boxes of chocolate for Christmas have released a limited edition bag of goodies. And it has triggered a huge debate. The Quality Street 'Golden Selection' which includes just toffee fingers and toffee pennies. Someone wrote took to social media platform Reddit to share their outrage.

Starwarsnerd91 shared a picture of the Golden Selection and wrote: "These are arguably the worst lot out of the entire selection! I feel like they are actively mocking us!" And many Reddit users have agreed. ScarletOwilde replied: "They get left at the bottom of the tub for months!" And Boilinoil added: "These were so bad that my family members call each other the toffee penny as an insult".

Dboi88 agreed and said: "Literally the first to go every single time." But despite some outrage, many people are in stark disagreement and are actually pleased to see the golden selection bag.

EvelynOfTheAincents replied: "Those are literally my favourite flavour of quality Street, followed by the Toffee Penny", and Ecstatic-Cookie2423 said: "those are the best of the quality streets, what are you on about". D0wnInAlbion added: "The caramels (particularly the fingers) are the kings of the selection followed by the fruit cremes." And NowThatHappened said: "Those are absolutely the best, and every dentist's choice for a stream of bookings for filling replacements."

Quality Street also have some new suggestions from shoppers. Pullingteeths said: "I love that they do one of just strawberries and oranges. My mum's favourite of all is strawberry and mine is orange. We've got each other a bag for Christmas and plan to swap so we can have all strawberry/all orange." And Muted_Hunter_8755 agreed: "I need one with just the strawberry and orange chocolates".
