Siamese Dream: This is what the girls from Smashing Pumpkins album cover look like 25 years later

The Smashing Pumpkins have re-made the album cover for their second studio record Siamese Dream with the original models.

The band did this just in time to coincide with their first tour in 18 years.

They will play only tracks from their first five records.

In support of their comeback, the Smashing Pumpkins got the two models who were featured on the cover of their 1993 album - Ali Laenger and LySandra Roberts - back together for their tour announcement video.

But fans got an extra treat as the group had Laenger and Roberts recreate the 1993 album's artwork.

For lead singer Billy Corgan, it was a way for him to honour the duo and their influence in music history.

Corgan thanked Laenger and Roberts for posing for the iconic photo 23 years ago.

He wrote, "Never realising that this moment in time would forever tie us, and go on to become such an iconic image in rock history. What’s amazing is their chemistry with one another still leaps through the camera to this day and yet if memory serves they’d never met before that Siamese shoot. Which tells me their coming together, and the beauty that Melodie’s shot captures, of youth and innocence, was meant to be SP’s own, personal lucky star."

Corgan reminisced about how time moves quickly saying "I can still see you in my mind’s eye wearing crisp white dresses in a stranger’s backyard, looking like little Mother Mary’s, smiling and laughing into the sun.”
