Sicilian eatery arrives at Edinburgh shopping centre offering traditional dishes

A family run Sicilian eatery has come to Cameron Toll Shopping Centre offering traditional dishes.

Situated in a street food unit at the north entrance to the retail mall, Mizzica Sicilian Deli will operate from 8am to 3pm every Wednesday to Sunday.

Run by the Penninis, a Sicilian family who moved to Edinburgh, the outlet will provide yummy treats for those with a variety of dietary needs.

On what customers can expect, their website states: "Embark on a culinary journey with us as we introduce you to the rich and diverse traditional foods of Sicily. From the internationally renowned Cannolo to the flavorful Caponata di Melanzane, which even satisfies our vegan friends, our menu showcases the essence of Sicilian gastronomy.

"Sicily, an island steeped in history, flavor, and vibrant colors, has captivated food lovers for centuries. Our aim is to bring a taste of this enchanting island to Edinburgh, allowing you to immerse yourself in its culinary heritage.

"Indulge in the creamy sweetness of the Cannolo, filled with ricotta cheese and dotted with chocolate chips, or savor the savory delights of our vegan-friendly Caponata di Melanzane, bursting with the flavors of eggplant, tomatoes, olives, and capers.

In a statement on Facebook, Cameron Toll Shopping Centre said: "If you're coming to the centre today be sure to stop by and enjoy the new Mizzica Sicilian Deli street food outlet.
