Siera Bearchell is getting real about parenthood.

On Friday, the former Miss Universe Canada took to Instagram with a carousel of candid photos of herself and her children. In the snaps, she can be seen holding her son and daughter, paired with a thoughtful message about "becoming someone new" after having children.

Bearchell began by explaining that being in the "trenches of parenthood" and experiencing the inherit rapid personal growth can make it difficult to maintain a sense of self.

"Your baby isn’t sleeping, your toddler isn’t sleeping, you can’t eat a whole piece of toast without getting up from the table multiple times, you forget who you used to be before kids," she penned.

"It's easy to overlook that you too are becoming someone new."

The 30-year-old shared that motherhood hasn't just been about raising her kids, but also "raising a new version" of herself, "who sets an example that shapes the life of these little eyes that watch your every move."

The Saskatchewan-native said one of the most overlooked parts of parenthood is looking "inward and asking what we can do to work on ourselves that can better the lives of our children."

"These little eyes learn by watching and listening. The model adult is us," she added.

"I’m working on ways to better myself mentally and physically so I can be a better version of myself for both myself and them," Bearchell concluded.

The influencer's post was quickly met with supportive comments from fans.

"Love. Such a great perspective," an Instagram user wrote.

Another added: "Love this and love you!"

"This is a really important and refreshing reminder! Good parenting starts within. Thank you for sharing," one commented.

"So cute!" another chimed in.

Earlier this month, Bearchell garnered praise after sharing an Instagram Reel opening up about her thoughts on unsolicited parenting advice.

"I was at the zoo with my two kids and I had my baby in the carrier, just like this, and this man walked by me and he said, 'Ah, that's the easiest phase,'" Bearchell explained in the video.

"To be completely honest, I have been struggling," she shared. "No offense to this man, but I know for a fact that he did not go through nine months of pregnancy, delivering a baby, pushing it out of his body.

"Telling a woman with a six-month-old baby who is still sleep deprived and still recovering from the trauma of being pregnant and delivery and all of that — to tell her that this is the easiest phase is just... no thanks."
