Sigur Ros at BST Hyde Park tickets: Band announce free ambient show for London series

Sigur Ros will bring their live ambient show to London for a free gig as part of British Summer Time at Hyde Park.

The Icelandic group will play their Liminal soundbath — which features “solo work, remixes, film score excerpts, AI and generative music” — outdoors for the first time ever on July 9.

Band member Jónsi will perform alongside the regular Sigur Ros collaborators Alex Somers and Paul Corley at the concert.

It will come as part of a string of free events during BST’s Open House series, which will run from Monday July 8 until Thursday July 11.

The Old Dirty Brasstards, London Contemporary Voices, and the University of Westminster artists will also be performing live across the course of the event.

Elsewhere, there will be screenings of classic films such as Grease and Back to the Future, alongside modern favourites including The Greatest Showman and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Tennis fans will be able to catch live coverage of the Wimbledon Championships on the big screens, while yogis can take part in free breathwork classes, soundtracked by London Contemporary Voices.

Craft Beer Rising will host Brew Summertime, bringing together a selection of craft beer favourites and street food vendors. Tickets start at £5.90.
