Reality TV star Jack Fowler asked possibly the strangest question of 2019 on tonight's (March 20) episode of Celebs Go Dating.

Hitting the heights of fame on last year's series of Love Island, Jack now joins his other castmates in the pantheon of knowledge blunders (Hayley Hughes, we're looking at you).

Jack decided to take his Australian date, Kate, to Tenerife in tonight's Celebs Go Dating – meaning that he's clearly keen on her. But one question nearly ruined the whole thing for the poor guy.

Talking about Australia's southern geography, Jack asked Kate if Australians' version of the world map was basically a flipped one of the UK's, as in "upside-down".

Luckily for Jack, though, his date laughed it off and settled his embarrassment – correcting him in a really polite manner (but later calling him a dickhead!).

As you might've guessed already, social media (and narrator Rob Beckett) wasn't quite as forgiving.

Elsewhere on tonight's episode, Kerry Katona humbly bowed out of the series, choosing not to go to Tenerife for the sake of a holiday.

She admitted that the dates she went on weren't really doing anything for her romantically, so she went on her jolly way and bid the agency farewell.

This series of Celebs Go Dating concludes tomorrow (March 21) at 9pm on E4.
