Simon Cowell, Ant and Dec rush to help Britain's Got Talent auditionee who collapsed on stage

The 2017 Britain’s Got Talent auditions are well underway, but the series so far hasn’t been without its fair share of drama.

In fact, it has been reported that filming was thrown into chaos at the Birmingham auditions when a hopeful in his 20s sensationally collapsed on stage.

Simon rushed to Luke’s aid.

Luke was singing Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ alongside his 52-year-old mother, Mary, when he fell to the floor in front of the live studio audience and panicked judges.

According to one eyewitness, Simon Cowell as well as Ant and Dec immediately rushed to Luke’s side as ITV’s team of paramedics went to tend to him.

Thankfully Luke was okay, with it being thought that the stress of the day became too much for him, as his grandfather had sadly passed away just hours earlier.

Ant and Dec also sprung into action.

Speaking to The Sun, the onlooker shared: “His grandad died that day and combined with the stress of auditions, it really got to him.

“It was incredibly scary. Luke was singing with his mum and suddenly he just fell.

“All of the judges jumped to their feet, and Simon rushed on stage. Luke’s mum was cradling him in her arms.

“They were the last act of the night and Simon thanked the audience for being compassionate.”

Britain’s Got Talent confirmed that an auditionee had fainted but he was given the all-clear and told to rest up by the medical team.

In other BGT news, earlier today David Walliams took to social media to confirm that just Alesha Dixon and Ant and Dec had their golden buzzers left.
