Simon Cowell Lifts Calvin Harris' 'Lifelong' X Factor Ban

It looks like Calvin Harris could be set to make a sensational return to The X Factor after Simon Cowell decided to lift his “lifelong” ban.

Has hell frozen over?

In case you missed it, or simply just forgot, Calvin was banned from the hit singing show back in 2009 after he mocked contestants Jedward during their performance.

Seven years ago, Calvin stormed the stage during a live performance from the Irish twins, holding a pineapple above his head to mock their famous hairstyles.

Now Simon has apparently ended his feud with Calvin and the Scottish DJ is in talks to appear with Nicole Scherzinger during Judges’ Houses.

A source told The Sun: “Calvin is rightly regarded as one of the biggest artists in music due to his phenomenal chart success.

"Simon wants A-listers on board and made a beeline for Calvin, ensuring him there would be no issues after the Jedward row. It was a long time ago and both have moved on so much since then.”

Calvin previously defended his Jedward antics, claiming that he only mocked them because they were a “joke act” in a music show.

He said at the time: “I was just inspired to make a mockery of the show because it is a music competition, it is a joke and I think it should be treated as such.

"So when people were saying, ‘John and Edward, maybe they deserve to stay in this week’, I was like, 'Are you watching what I’m watching?’”

We are certain that Calvin will be on his best behaviour if Simon does decide to have him back.
