Simon Cowell To Judge America’s Got Talent

He might have his fingers firmly in the talent-filled X Factor pie right now, but that doesn’t mean Simon Cowell isn’t already thinking ahead and far, far away.

Well, sort of. America, to be precise.

According to reports, Simon is set to replace Howard Stern as a judge on America’s Got Talent (alongside former X Factor judge Mel B), with a deal to be signed in the next few weeks.

If there’s one person who we KNOW can juggle that, Britain’s Got Talent AND The X Factor, it’s hard-working Simon.

The 55-year-old hasn’t been on TV in the USA since their version of The X Factor crashed out in 2013.

Let’s hope they roll out the very best yellow taxis for his arrival.

A source has told The Sun: “Simon has been off the television in the last couple of years focusing on family life. But with his comeback on British screens, he also wants to make his way back into America.

“He feels this is his show and one of the biggest NBC has to offer. Now he’s clear of his old deal he can join the panel.

“And he’s more than used to the travelling.”

Although the show was created by Simon, he hasn’t been able to get involved as a judge as he would’ve liked thanks to his deal with Fox. America’s Got Talent is an NBC show.

It will mean a potentially massive logistical headache as Simon is forced to juggle appearing on America’s Got Talent, Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor.

It would also see a return to television in the States for Simon after the US version of X Factor folded in 2013.

Simon would be a straight swap for radio DJ Howard, who took the job from PIERS MORGAN in 2012.

Simon has always wanted to do AGT but because it’s an NBC show and he had a deal with Fox for American Idol his hands were tied.

A TV source told me: “

A return to America’s Got Talent would also see a reunion with former X Factor judge MEL B, who he let go after one series.
