X Factor star Lucy Spraggan has thrilled her followers by unveiling the first stunning snapshots from her recent wedding with Emilia, with Simon Cowell playing a crucial role in the festivities.

Lucy, who went to school in Buxton and university in Derby and shot to fame during her 2012 appearance on X Factor, tied the knot earlier this month and has now revealed the long-awaited images from the special day. She had previously given fans a sneak peek of the pre-wedding build-up and the subsequent honeymoon.

Following the end of her previous marriage, Lucy found love once more with Emilia, and they said their "I dos" in an enchanting ceremony. The 64-year-old music mogul Simon Cowell, who formed a close connection with Lucy during her time on the talent show, had the honour of walking her down the aisle.

The couple looked overjoyed as they made their way down the stairs at Saltmarshe Hall, located near Howden in East Yorkshire, with Simon seen clapping in the background in the exclusive photos shared with Hello magazine. Lucy affectionately captioned her Instagram post with "Mrs and Mrs Spraggan-Smith," also noting the date "14.6.24."

For the wedding, Lucy opted for a chic white suit crafted by King and Allen, while Emilia shone in a stunning gown, as reported by the Mirror and Yorkshire Live.

The star-studded guest list included the likes of Simon Cowell and his partner Lauren Silverman, actor Tom Turgoose, Ru Paul's Drag Race favourite Bimini Bon-Boulash, and reality TV personality Adam Collard. Congratulatory messages poured into the comments section, with Bimini Bon Boulash exclaiming "So gorgeous! ! ! " and Lizzie Cundy joyously commenting "Wow! Huge congratulations my darlings."

One fan enthused: "You both look so beautiful," while another complimented: "How beautiful are you both! ? Congratulations."

Lucy reminisced about her wedding, calling it the 'perfect' day and shared how moving it was to walk down the aisle to her own song, Other Sides of the Moon. She admitted to Hello magazine that she was 'already crying' before her procession began, with Simon by her side.

Speaking to Hello magazine, Lucy revealed: "Simon and I were standing outside the door and my song started playing. I was already crying, and Simon definitely had a tear in his eye. I was linking arms with him but then I realised I was holding on to his arm. He kept saying, 'You're OK, you're all right.' Then when Emilia walked in with her dad I just sobbed."

Simon shared his feelings of honour at being asked to escort her down the aisle, understanding the weight of the moment. In conversation with the same magazine, he said: "Being asked to walk her down the aisle made me realise the significance and importance of that role. And throughout the day, I was thinking even though it's been a relatively short time, we do feel like family, and we share a very special bond."
