The Simpsons might have done an expert job of taking the piss out of President Donald Trump's first 100+ days in office, but it's not the first time he's been in its firing line.
Despite welcoming almost every single celeb onto its show for a cameo, there is one person the iconic sitcom vetoed. Yep, it's The Donald.
Executive producer Al Jean revealed the not-so shocking news at San Diego Comic-Con last week, and it went down pretty well with the audience.

When asked if there was any guest appearance the show had ever turned down, Al replied (via The Wrap): "Let's just say he's the President of the United States."
Breathing a public sigh of relief, producer Bill Oakley also tweeted last week that he 'continues to thank God' for never inviting Trump onto the show pre-Presidency.
"I continue to thank God that Donald Trump was never invited to do a voice on The Simpsons even during the brief period when he was popular," he said.

(Un)fortunately for Trump, he did eventually get his wish with an appearance on The Simpsons – although we can't imagine he was that pleased with it.
Back in May, the cartoon trolled a Simpsonised-Trump by turning his hair into a dog and having him meet with a fellow controversial President, Richard Nixon.
Oh, and we guess there's always that time when they predicted Trump's political future? The less said about that, the better, we think.
