Single-vehicle crash on A35 Puddletown bypass

DORSET Police attended a single-vehicle collision on the A35 near Puddletown in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The incident, which took place on the A35 Puddletown bypass, was attended by police officers as well as the ambulance service.

There were no injuries.

A statement from Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 6.20am of a single vehicle collision on the A35 Puddletown bypass between Puddletown and Bere Regis. Officers attended, along with the ambulance service.

"There were no reports of any injuries. The road was cleared and officers left the scene at around 7.45am.

A statement from traffic monitoring service INRIX had warned of heavy traffic due to the incident: "Heavy traffic due to accident on A35 Westbound from A354 (Puddletown / Blandford turn off, Puddletown) to B3150 Stinsford Hill (Stinsford Roundabout, Dorchester)."
