Sir Alex Honoured With Statue
Manchester United have unveiled their latest accolade to manager Sir Alex Ferguson, a statue is now in place outside the stand at Old Trafford which is named after him.
Sir Alex's wife Lady Cathy unveiled the nine-foot high piece which is made of bronze.
The current United squad along with former players from the 26-year Ferguson era attended the ceremony.
Sir Alex said: "Its a proud moment, normally people die before they see their statue - I'm outliving death!!
"Its been an incredible journey I've had at the club, so many great players and some of them are here today. They should actually build a statue for all of them because they've been fantastic players to have."
