Injury has apparently struck The Jump's Sir Bradley Wiggins for the second time in one week.

The cycling legend's ankle injury in practice sessions didn't stop him from competing in Sunday's first live show, but The Sun is reporting that he's since been hampered by another on-slope accident.

Although he avoided elimination in the Channel 4 reality show's launch last night, Sir Bradley apparently tore his calf muscle during the high-speed parallel slalom event.

Digital Spy has reached out to Channel 4, who told us: "Bradley has received treatment for an injury to his leg, but he remains in the competition."

Last week, Sir Bradley brought fans into the training room for an Instagram photo confirming his previous injury:

Vogue Williams bowed out of The Jump even before the first live show due to a knee injury, despite being touted as one of the favourites to win this series.

Over the weekend, Vogue revealed that she's already keen for a comeback in the future: "I'm really hoping that the show comes back next year because I would jump at the chance of being on it again."

Former Big Brother winner Josie Gibson was the first contestant eliminated on The Jump on Sunday, days after she'd also been hurt during a practice run in the snow-capped Austrian mountains.

Aside from his possible injury, Sir Bradley made news during The Jump's series premiere for accidentally swearing on live TV while mocking the Daily Mail. Presenter Davina McCall subsequently made an apology on his behalf on air.

The Jump continues on Sunday night (February 12) at 7.30pm on Channel 4.
