Staff at a Surrey shop had an "out of this world" experience when Queen legend Sir Brian May turned up to play guitar in one of their beds. The music icon and X Factor singer Talia Dean took over the shop for a shoot for the song 'You Made Your Bed'.

In the video for Talia's new song, filmed at Cobham Furniture, Sir Brian can be seen strumming his guitar in bed, clad in his pyjamas. The shoot itself took place on January 16.

Sales director Martin Williams, 34, expressed his excitement when they received the call asking to use their shop as a set. He said: "We had a phone call from Talia asking if we were up for working with her on a music video. She was very nice, and they ended up creating three sets in the showroom. We kept it all under hush as she asked.

"We locked all the doors for the day and blocked the windows. We got the joy of watching it all be produced in the showroom. It was a fascinating day. Watching Brian play the famous red guitar with all the amps here was just out of this world."

The set for Brian's bedroom in the video features a large teddy bear, a space duvet set and a large Jimi Hendrix poster on the wall - personally selected by the star. The musician also chose for his nine stack Vox amps to feature in the bedroom – which he takes on every Queen tour.

Surrey musicians Talia and Brian first hit the headlines with their number one lockdown single Get Up. Sir Brian has been mentoring Talia since the pair met at Heathrow Airport.

Mr Williams, who has worked at Cobham Furniture for 14 years, expressed his gratitude towards the crew for allowing his children, Holly, 15, and Logan, aged nine, to witness the filming magic. He added: "I was a big fan of Brian, and my daughter is actually a fan of Talia’s as she followed her on X factor. Brian is a very nice guy.

"I asked them nicely if my kids could come experience it after school and they said yes. As soon as my kids came in Brian came over and had a chat with them about their day at school, which was really nice. He made a big fuss of them. The next day he sent them a couple of books from his own private library which was a very nice touch.

"She [my daughter] was very happy and got a picture done with Talia. It was a once in a lifetime experience for my daughter and myself- and everyone here. It was quite a good day."

The track was released on November 8, with 10 per cent of the proceeds from the music video going to the Crisis homelessness charity.

Explaining what the track is about, Talia said: "I see this song as a firm reminder that the world is a huge place with a population of 8.2 billion. Nobody should never stay in a relationship with a person who treats you badly.

"Know your worth. It’s better to stay single than with a person who doesn’t respect you. Live your life and strive for true love. It’s definitely out there.”

Sir Brian added: "I see this track as a very important marker in Talia’s career. It’s as if, in this song, she's shaking off not just a relationship, but a whole way of life which she no longer wants to live.

"She and I are already working in the exciting new territory which this song predicts. But for now, this is song packed with pure naughtiness and fun, and makes me smile every time I hear it."

Talia, from Oxshott, became a household name after appearing on X Factor in 2017.
