Sir Chris Hoy's wife says 'life is wonderful' as she breaks silence after sad joint health news
Sir Chris Hoy's wife Sarra has posted a heartfelt tribute to her husband on Instagram following him sharing the news of her terminal diagnosis. The Olympic cycling legend revealed the shocking news that his cancer was terminal at the weekend in an interview with The Sunday Times.
The six-time gold medallist revealed he had been given just two to four years to live. It was also heartbreakingly revealed tha his wife Sarra had been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, an autoimmune condition that attacks the brain and spinal chord.
Sarra has broken her own silence with a beautiful message on social media. She wrote: "Completely overwhelmed by your kind, thoughtful and helpful messages. Many people say they don’t know what to say- that’s ok, you don’t need to have the words - just taking the time to message has been like a soothing balm to the soul. Thank you.

"I’ve been told that men seeking advice about prostate cancer is up seven fold and that Chris’s story is likely to save countless lives. This takes my breath away.
