Sir Cliff Richard has been confirmed as headliner of Greenwich Music Time 2019.

The veteran artist will perform at the event at the Old Royal Naval College on July 1 next year.

The singer is the first name announced for the festival, which celebrates its fifth year in 2019.

More acts for next year’s event are due to be announced over the coming months.

How can I get tickets?

Tickets for the Greenwich Music Time event go on sale at 10am on Sunday November 18. They can be bought here.

The singer will also perform a series of dates as part of an international tour in 2019, including a show at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre on June 26.

Greenwich Music Time promises to be a major event in London's musical calender, after the likes of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Tom Jones performed at the festival earlier this year.

Il Divo, The Jacksons, Seal, Joe Bonamassa and 10CC have also performed at the event over recent years, while Richard himself previously played at the festival in 2017.

Richard is the third highest selling British artist in UK singles chart history, only surpassed by the Beatles and Elvis Presley.
