Sir Tom Jones ‘dating’ Elvis’ ex Priscilla Presley a year after his wife’s death
Sir Tom Jones has reportedly found love with a Hollywood star, a year after his beloved wife Linda passed away.
According to reports, the music icon and Voice UK coach, 76, is in the early stages of ‘dating’ Elvis Presley’s former wife, Priscilla, 71, who he has known for a number of years.
Speculation of the pair’s budding romance emerged after they were spotted arriving at A-list Hollywood restaurant, Craig’s, in a white Rolls Royce, for a dinner date together, last month.
“Tom and Priscilla are courting. There is a spark between them but they are taking it slowly. It really is early days but they get on so well,” a source told The Sun.
“Tom has had a difficult year with Linda’s death and Priscilla has been an amazing support.”
When approached Sir Tom said: “We have been friends for a long time. She’s a lovely lady. We do enjoy our nights out together.”
The reported relationship comes a year after the tragic death of Sir Tom’s wife, Linda, who passed away last April following a short battle with cancer.
Months later, the Welsh star revealed that coming to terms with the loss of his wife of 59 years made him realise that she “might have been the most important thing in his life.”
Speaking about his heartbreak in October, Sir Tom explained to The Mirror: “I hear her voice. I see her a lot at night. When I dream that she’s still here and then I wake up and she’s not, that’s the hardest.”
The Delilah singer married Linda in 1957, when they were both 16, in his hometown of Pontypridd, South Wales. The couple went on to have one son, Mark, who was born in the month following their wedding.
Priscilla, who was married to rock ’n’ roll star, Elvis Presley, from 1967 to 1973, has since been in relationships with actor and model Mike Edwards, Italian screenwriter-director Marco Garibaldi, with whom she lived with for 22 years, and former Pop Idol judge Nigel Lythgoe.
