“Sister Wives”' Christine Brown is Focusing on 'Work' In Order to 'Keep Moving Forward' After Garrison's Death

His mother and Christine's former sister wife, Janelle Brown, confirmed Garrison's death at age 25 earlier this month

Christine Brown is turning her attention to other things in order to cope with the loss of Garrison Brown.

The Sister Wives star, 51, shared a video to Instagram where she addressed her fans and explained how she's been focusing her attention on work as she continues to grieve Garrison's death.

"It's been two weeks since Garrison's death," she began while letting out a big sigh. "That's never easier to say. And I have to keep working because it's what I understand, it's what I know and it's what I know I need to do."

Christine went on to explain that most of her work presides on social media and thanked her followers for allowing her the space to process the events of Garrison's sudden death online.

"It's a terrible thing to lose your son, terrible and we're gonna miss him all the time, every single day for the rest of our lives so we gotta just keep moving forward," she said, adding that she would otherwise "want to stay in bed all day" if she didn't focus on her work.

After thanking everyone for their support and condolences, the TLC star reminded her fans to "start reaching out to the people you love and let them know."

"If you feel like calling somebody, you gotta call them and just reach out and continue doing it," she concluded.

Earlier this month, Christine's former sister wife, Janelle Brown, announced her son Garrison's sudden death at age 25 in a statement shared to Instagram.

"Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown," her post began. "He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away."

"We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory," the statement concluded. His father Kody Brown, 55, also shared the same statement on social media, and many members of the Brown family followed suit.

At the time, Lieutenant Charles M. Hernandez II of the Flagstaff Police Department also confirmed the sad news, telling PEOPLE in a statement: "On 03/05/2024 Flagstaff Police officers responded to a report of a death inside a home." The FPD confirmed that Garrison's brother Gabriel, 22, "discovered Mr. Brown deceased" in an apparent suicide.

TLC fans were first introduced Garrison on Sister Wives, which documented the life of his family, including siblings Maddie, 28; Savanah, 19; Logan, 29; Hunter, 27, and Gabe, all of whom are Janelle's children with Kody. Kody also shares 12 more children with his former and present sister wives: Christine, Meri and Robyn Brown.
