Six new deaths as Covid toll continues to climb
Latest figures show six new deaths on the Isle of Wight of people who had contracted Covid-19.
Three people died on the wards of St Mary's hospital, NHS data shows, on April 29, and on May 1 and 2.
Three others died in community settings, in the week to April 22 (the latest available data), of which two people were in care homes and one was in a hospice.
Since March 2020, 429 Islanders have died after getting coronavirus, of which 256 were in hospital and 173 were in community settings.
